Content Outline
This will be a 45 minute presentation followed by a workshop that includes participation from the audience. Willencourage the audience to identify the slowing down moments in their practice situation. Will consider the implications of slowing down on teaching judgment in practice settings. Will understand the link of slowing down to uncertainty in practice and will consider ways of ensuring 'slowing down' occurs in practice.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the workshop, the participant will:
- Develop an understanding of the 'slowing down when you should' model of expert judgment
- Understand implications of 'slowing down' for clinical practice
- Understand the implications of 'slowing down' for teaching judgment in practice
