Housing
Find answers to many of your questions about living here on our website about Rochester.
The Rochester area abounds with cultural opportunities. The Finger Lakes region, one of the most beautiful wine producing regions in the country, is known for its world-class rieslings. And there are a host of sports and other recreational opportunities available throughout the four seasons. Whether you are single, married or have a family, Rochester provides more than you can imagine.
Rochester is also a remarkably affordable place to live and offers a wide variety of housing options. The National Association of Realtors says the median price for homes here is less than half the median for the northeast, and 27% less than the national average. You can choose to live in a neighborhood right next to the University or in a nearby suburb or small town.
