Conduct Educational Research and Scholarship
- Using educational and psychological theory as a guide, the OEER conducts educational research to develop, assess, and improve educational programs and innovations at the URSMD and nationally, with particular attention to advancing educational theory and assessing educational outcomes.
- The OEER holds medical education research meetings to provide a forum to discuss research initiatives and funding opportunities; critique grant proposals, abstracts, and manuscripts; and to brainstorm.
- The OEER provides support and consultation for those in the URSMD teaching and learning community who are applying for education related research.
Provide Curriculum Evaluation and Assessment to the URSMD Community
The OEER provides direction and support in evaluating current educational programs at the URSMD.
Provide Faculty Development
The OEER provides faculty development programs to improve the quality of teaching and feedback for students and residents.
