Bradford Berk, M.D. is CEO of the University of Rochester Medical Center and a highly respected clinician and researcher. Dr. Berk has served as both the Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Research at URMC, as well as Chair of Medicine. As head of an organization that employs thousands, Dr. Berk is well aware of the immense value of an Executive Health Program.
Raymond Mayewski, M.D. is Chief Medical Officer at the University of Rochester Medical Center, but he also maintains an active clinical practice in primary care. Dr. Mayewski is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine and performed a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease. With his position of oversight for our entire medical center, Dr. Mayewski is uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive care to executives.
Charles Lowenstein, M.D. is Chief of Cardiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Lowenstein graduated from Harvard College, received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, completed his residency training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and was a cardiology fellow at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After 18 years as a cardiologist on staff at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Lowenstein joined the faculty at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Lowenstein has worked in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and in the Preventive Cardiology Clinic for the past 19 years.
David Lambert, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed an internal medicine residency at the New England Deaconess Hospital, a Harvard affiliate, where he received the Elmer Hinon Prize for outstanding physician-patient relationships. Dr. Lambert is currently the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Student Education.
Laurie Kopin, M.S., R.N., A.N.P., Senior Director of Executive Health, has personally helped hundreds of people live healthier lives. She is a Senior Nurse Practitioner and earned her masters degree from the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Laurie was responsible for one of the largest cardiac rehabilitation and preventive cardiology programs in the nation, The Strong Heart Wellness and Prevention Program. She is now applying her vast experience exclusively to the URMC Executive Health Program.
Tracy Cherry, R.D., C.D.E., is an experienced dietitian who has great experience in helping patients learn how to improve their health through good nutrition. Her areas of expertise include nutrition for cardiovascular health, diabetes, and weight loss. Tracy earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition management at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a member of the American Diabetic Association and is a certified diabetes educator.
Craig Dennison, M.S., Exercise Physiologist, is Clinical Exercise Specialist at the Strong Heart Wellness and Prevention program where he works to help patients get in shape and improve their health. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Medical Management from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester. Craig is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.
