Coding Seminar

This year's program features a special coding seminar on Thursday, March 15th from 1:00 until 5:30 pm. Nationally reknowned expert Rival Lee Asbell will provide an update on some of the most important issues facing practices as we embark on electronic medical records. This session is appropriate for physicians and their in-room technicians as well as back-office personnel who need to be aware of a rapidly changing landscape. The fee to attend this seminar is $50 for participants of either the technician or physician programs and $75 as a stand-alone.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, partcipants should be able to

  • Identify the differences in paper and EMR chart documentation
  • List documentation requirements for the latest ophthalmic diagnostic tests
  • List updates to ophthalmology procedural and diagnostic codes for 2012

Fees

The cost to attend this session as a stand-alone event is $75. Attendees to either the technician program or physician program may add this program to their agenda at a reduced fee. The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category I Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
