Suzanne Lee, MD, joined our faculty in 1996. She is a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson University Family Medicine Residency and SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse Medical School. She completed the Duke University traveling fellowship in faculty development in 1999. Prior to joining our faculty, Suzanne developed a new suburban Rochester practice and practiced family medicine there for several years. She has a longstanding interest in Family Medicine curricular development and has been an active member of several AAFP national committees involving Geriatrics, medical student/resident education, and physician continuing medical education. In the department, she developed and coordinates the Practice Management curriculum, which prepares residents for an employment search and the business aspects of family practice. In addition, she enjoys and focuses on teaching residents and caring for patients on the inpatient medical service, developing curriculum and teaching medical students about sexuality and primary care of the gay/lesbian patient, and has partnered with local insurers and a health systems agency to focus on primary care outreach to the urban teen. Five years ago, Suzanne decided to embrace Rochester winters and took up downhill skiing. She now can be found most weekends on the local slopes with her two school-age sons and welcomes novice and veteran skiiers to join them. |
