Overview

Marilyn Merritt, RN, MS, CS, CHTP, joined the Family Medicine Center in 1988 after several years of experience in community health nursing with the Visiting Nurse Service, and was appointed as faculty in 1992,

The challenge of integrating allopathic and complementary models in family practice is demonstrated by sharing and/or teaching skills in stress reduction and healing touch, and serving as a resource person for holistic frameworks in order to broaden residents’ perspectives of the healing process.

In May 2003 she published a book chapter, Complementary Medicine, in Behavioral Science in Health Care.
