Anne Nofziger, MD, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated summa cum laude in a Liberal arts and Pre-Med program. She received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Nofziger is a faculty preceptor in the UR Well Student Outreach Project, which provides free health care for uninsured patients at St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center. Anne completed her Family Medicine residency at Highland Hospital as well as being the Chief Resident from 1998-2000. She is currently the Director of the Predoctoral Education Program in Family Medicine where she directs all medical student rotations in Family Medicine, creates and oversees the Family Medicine electives, collects preceptor evaluations and assigns grades, and advises students interested in Family Medicine careers. Dr. Nofziger is committed to furthering innovation in medical student education. As the Director of Medical Student Comprehensive Assessment, she designed and implemented a large multi-modal assessment, for two weeks in March or year 2, and one week in June of year 3 for all medical students. This includes the standardized patient encounters, written exercises, team exercises, and development of individual learning plans. Additionally, Anne is the Faculty Advisor to the Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) advising this student interest group in planning calendar events, attends and speaks at lunch time conferences, and helps with contacting other faculty presenters. |
