Rochester River Run/Walk 5K
On Sunday, April 21, 2013 Friends of Strong and the Transplant Unit hosted its Twelfth Annual Rochester River Run/Walk 5k at Genesee Valley Park. Great refreshments were provided by local businesses and prizes were awarded to both runners and walkers in various categories. Funds raised will be used to ease financial hardship for patients undergoing transplant. For race results, go online to pcr-timing.com
On Friday, February 1, 2013, Friends of Strong hosted their 22nd Annual Gala Wine Tasting at the Hyatt Regency Rochester. There were more than 300 red and white domestic and imported wines and champagnes to taste. In addition to wonderful wines, cheeses, breads, warm hors d'oeuvres, and desserts were offered.
Music was provided by the Matt Valerio Trio. There was also a silent auction and raffle of donated items.
