Environmental Scans
Environmental scans provide an ongoing assessment of the technologies and applications that are relevant to selected medical conditions. The objectives of the pilot project are:
- To identify the medical needs and opportunities for selected medical conditions associated with aging
- To survey the technologies that support detection, monitoring, and management of the conditions
- To discover the gaps between the needs and capabilities in order to identify the most promising avenues for future research, development, technology integration and implementation
- To present this information in an appealing, easy to use, expandable information center as a web interface
