Merit Awards (late May)
Graduate students in the School of Medicine & Dentistry enter a friendly poster competition with multiple divisions and prizes awarded. Posters are judged based on an entry submission and a poster session. Snacks are provided.
The prizes granted are partial travel awards, and intended to subsidize other travel funds.
Last year's eligibility requirements for entry into the poster competition were:
- You must be a matriculated graduate student in the School of Medicine and Dentistry and in good academic standing.
- Any summary/poster entries from previous Merit Award competitions are ineligible for entry.
- Entries should present your thesis research performed at the University of Rochester, and may not include research performed at other institutions, in lab rotations or in previous technical positions (collaborations with other institutions is allowed).
