Highland Chief of Medicine in USA Today
Highland Hospital Chief of Medicine Robert McCann, M.D., was quoted in the Dec. 24 edition of USA Today in a story about the risks of drug interactions for elderly Americans. According to a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, nearly one in 25 older Americans, or 2.2 million people, are at risk for serious health problems because of dangerous drug interactions. McCann, a geriatrician, provided his perspective on how physicians can minimize these risks for their elderly patients.
