Q.

How long will it be before I hear from the Nurse Recruitment Department once I send in my application?

A.

If you are applying for a position that is open and is currently being recruited for, you should hear from the Nurse Recruiter within one week of submitting a resume/application.

If you are sending in an application/resume for any position that we are not currently recruiting for, then you will be contacted within 6 months if an appropriate position opens up.

How long will my resume/application stay on file?

A.

All resumes and applications stay on file for 6 months.

Q.

Will I be considered for positions other than the one I am applying for?

A.

Unless you indicate otherwise, we will consider you for other open positions, that you are qualified for, in the facility while your resume is on active status.

Q.

Can I call the Nurse Recruiter to check on the status of my application?

A.

Q.

What if I don’t have an active NYS Nursing License?

A.

Prior to being hired you need a current NYS Nursing license on file in the Nurse Recruitment Office (Unless you are a GN or GPN). If you don’t have one because of relocation, please contact the New York State Office of the Professions at 518-474-3817.

Q.

Do you hire Graduate Nurses?

A.

Absolutely! GNs and GPNs are strongly encouraged to apply.
