"SPRING" Program for New Graduates
SPRING stands for "Steps to Positive Realization and Integration of New Graduates." In the first part of this program, new graduate nurses receive additional support through a tuition-free Kaplan NCLEX review course, with paid days of study. Nurses receive weekly study time and an NCLEX preparation course provided on-site with a lecturer who specializes in preparing nurses for licensing tests. The SPRING program continues with the New Graduate Nurse Support Program.
New Graduate Nurse Support Program
New nurse graduates receive ongoing support at Highland. Our New Graduate Nurse Support Program focuses on many of the issues new nurses face in their first year, with topics including Stress Management, Team building, Excellence in Professional Practice, and Story Telling. To assure the continued clinical development of our new graduate nurses, we invite them to participate in a 2-day Physical Assessment class offered quarterly, a 3-day Dysrhythmia course, and an American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS ) class offered onsite.
