We've helped thousands of people learn about bariatric surgery at our informational seminars. The sessions are led by either William E. O'Malley, M.D., F.A.C.S., who has performed over 3,000 gastric bypass procedures, more than any other surgeon in Upstate New York, or by Joseph A. Johnson M.D. The surgeons present a balanced view of surgery, including potential risks and benefits and life after surgery. Plus, you'll be able to ask questions during a Q&A period.
If you are at least 100 pounds overweight, have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more, or a BMI of 35 or more and experiencing obesity-related health conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes, please enroll in our seminar. You will learn whether bariatric surgery is right for you.
We hold two sessions per month, in the morning and afternoon, at Highland Hospital.
