Highland Breast Imaging Center
Outreach
Outreach to all segments of our community is part of the mission at the Highland Breast Imaging Center. Thanks to a grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Center operates an aggressive outreach program that focuses on increasing access to breast cancer screening and education for medically under-served women.
Highland Breast Imaging Center recently received a small grant from the Marie C. and Joseph C. Wilson Foundation to provide imaging services for uninsured women such as MRI's and ductograms. The grant also allows us to provide transportation to our Henrietta office ensuring women receive access to necessary health care.
Collaboration efforts with Anthony Jordan Health Center, Westside Health Services, Women's Health Practice at Strong, Highland Family Medicine and the Health Partnership of Monroe County have resulted in the creation of a clinic-based outreach program that provides on-site breast cancer education, mammograms, and case management for women living in Rochester and Monroe County.
In addition, the Highland Breast Imaging Center reaches out to women in Monroe and surrounding counties through educational workshops, health fairs, free screening days, and women's health seminars.
