Joy Anderson, M.D.

Dr. Joy Anderson is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Rochester Medical Center. She received her M.D. from New Jersey Medical School, MD, and has undergraduate degrees in chemistry from Columbia University and Syracuse University. She was awarded a fellowship in radiation oncology at The Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, where she did her residency.

She is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Her special interests are Low Dose Rate and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy.

Muammer Tasbas, M.D.

A specialist in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Muammer Tasbas is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Rochester Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiology. He received a medical degree from Turkey-Ege U Med Fac, Izmir, Turkey, and his residency was at the Albert Einstein Medical Center and the Pediatric Oncology Department of the Children's Hospital. His special interests include endocavitary radiation for rectal cancer, hyperthermia, and prostate implants.

Bingren Liu, M.D.

Dr. Bingren Liu earned is M.D. at Tianjin Medical University in China. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Ohio State University. His research interests include radiation treatments for cancers of the prostate and breast. He received the 1995 Young Scientist Award from the American Association for Cancer Research. Dr. Liu is a member of ASTRO, ASCO, ABS, ACRO, AACR, Monroe County Medical Society, Medical Society of the State of New York, and is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Hong Zhang, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Hong Zhang earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and her M.D. at Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Her research interests include radiation treatment responses in non-small cell lung cancer tumors and gastrointestinal soft tissues, as well as various topics in neuroscience. She received the 2006 RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. Dr. Zhang is a member of ASTRO, RSNA, and ASCO and is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
