Pre-Operative Rehabilitation Assessments
The Evarts Joint Center offers two types of personalized pre-operative assessments. They are designed to ensure that you are prepared for your discharge home and to give you peace of mind.
Home Assessments
You may be interested in scheduling a home visit by a physical therapist to evaluate your surroundings and safety issues and make recommendations to make sure your home is ready for your recovery.
Personal Assessments
You may be interested in visiting our outpatient facility where an occupational therapist will provide individualized education and hands-on training to prepare you for the challenges of performing daily self-care tasks, such as dressing and bathing, and using adaptive equipment relevant to your specific anticipated post-surgical needs.
Depending on your limitations, the occupational therapist may provide instruction on how to use certain devices that assist in performing daily activities, such as putting on socks, reaching for household items, and bathing.
