Pre-Admissions at Highland

Insurance & Patient Billing

Insurance Planning & Co-pays

It's important that you bring your insurance cards with you to your pre-admission visit and on the day of your procedure. The admitting office will need to make a copy of your card. You may want to check with your insurance company before your procedure to ensure you've obtained any pre-admission testing authorizations that may be required.

So that you're financially prepared, you should be aware that upon admission, you'll be asked for a deposit to cover any deductibles, coinsurance and any non-covered charges. You'll need to pay the balance of these expenses at the time of your discharge.

As a courtesy to you, and according to hospital policy, we'll file your insurance at the time of your discharge. We allow 45 days for your insurance company to make a payment. If payment is received within 45 days, you will receive a bill from the hospital in the mail. Payment will then be expected from you at that time.
