Highland Hospital Offers Three Free Bariatric Seminars In December

Highland Hospital’s team of renowned bariatric surgeons will host three free informational seminars on weight- loss surgery this month. Each seminar is open to the public. Registration is required at (585) 341-0366 or online.
Lael Forbes, M.D., will hostthe first session at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 in the Collins Auditorium at Highland, 1000 South Avenue. William O’Malley, M.D., Director of Bariatric Surgery, will host the second free seminar at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center, 5257 W. Henrietta Rd., West Henrietta. And Joseph Johnson, M.D., Chief of the Department of Surgery, will host the third free seminar at the RIT Inn and Conference Center at 6:30 pm. Thursday, Dec. 29.
Each surgeon will provide an overview of the different types of surgery at the seminar. A bariatric program coordinator will explain the surgical process and the integral role lifestyle and diet changes play in the process.
