Highland Hospital recently received a plaque from the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, ESGR, for going above and beyond the law in supporting their employee Service Members who have been mobilized. Major General Norbert J. Rappl and Betty Perkins-Carpenter, Ph.D. visited Highland and made the presentation to Robert McCann, M.D., Chief of Medicine, a resident of Pittsford and Art Arieno, Physician Assistant, Highland Department of Medicine and Captain in the United States Army, a resident of Spencerport. Arieno recently returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq.
The General expressed gratitude on behalf of ESGR for Highland’s support of Service Members and their families. "Highland Hospital is very proud of our staff members in the Service and all who are committed to serving our country," said Dr. McCann.
