Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Hani Rashid, M.D.

In 2013, close to 241,000 men in the United States are expected to be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Highland Hospital is hosting a dinner lecture from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Mario’s (2740 Monroe Ave.) to provide information on what men in our community should know about their prostate health.

Hani Rashid, M.D., URMC Associate Professor of Urology and Oncology, and Hong Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., Highland Chief of Radiation Oncology and Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology, will present. The lecture, “Prostate Health and Treatment Options,” will focus on prostate cancer testing and the controversy surrounding prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing as a screening tool to detect prostate cancer. Additionally, Dr. Rashid and Dr. Zhang will discuss emerging prostate cancer treatment options and why men should speak to their doctors about their prostate cancer risk.

The event costs $5 and includes a dinner buffet. Pre-paid reservations are required at (585) 784-8821.
