Highland Radiation Oncology Video Earns Telly Award
July 05, 2013
DeBergerac Productions, Inc. of Fairport has received a Bronze Telly Award in the Fund Raising category for Highland Hospital’s “Radiation Oncology” video. DeBergerac and Highland collaborated to produce the short film for Highland’s annual gala in March. The video was one of 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.
DeBergerac filmed and edited “Radiation Oncology” in partnership with Cheshire AV, which managed the project. The video featured Radiation Oncology staff, grateful patients and a first look at a renovation project in Radiation Oncology. Debuting at Highland’s gala, the video helped raise nearly $160,000 for the renovation project that will improve patient access and provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere to patients who receive daily radiation cancer treatments.
A panel of more than 500 industry professionals judged the competition. Entries do not compete against each other; rather, entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10 percent of entries are selected as winners of a Silver Telly, the highest honor, and approximately 25 percent of entries are chosen as winners of the Bronze Telly.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1978 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films.
