Computing center

Workstations - 9 Macintosh and 18 PC computers are available for URMC affiliates. Check in at the Computing Center Help Desk to use a computer.

Software - Computers in the Center have a variety of software including Microsoft Office, graphics and statistical programs, and a range of instructional software geared toward students. Programs on CD-ROM also are available for check-out at the Circulation desk; contact the Computing Center Help Desk Consultants for assistance installing programs.

Computer-related manuals, magazines and books - Available from the Help Desk for use within Miner.

Consultants - Available at the Help Desk during regular Computing Center hours to help you with the software collection and remote access. Consultants will try to answer general computer questions or direct you to someone who can help you.

Group Study Room - Available on a first-come, first-served basis to URMC ID holders only, for up to 3 hours while the Computing Center is open. The room is equipped with a marker board and network connection, and has space for 2-6 people. Markers, audio cassette, and VCR players are provided upon request.
