Author PDF Annotations

  • Tap the Cog at the bottom right side of the My Documents view to bring up the Settings menu.
  • Tap Viewing PDF files
  • Scroll down to Author for PDF annotations and tap on Author
  • You will now receive the Author dialog box. The text you enter will be tagged to the annotations you make. This is useful when working on a document as a group to identify who has made specific annotations. This name will also appear in a summary list.

Allow Unflattening

  • Tap the Cog at the bottom right side of the My Documents view to bring up the Settings menu.
  • Tap Viewing PDF files
  • Scroll down to Unflattening of annotations.
  • Set Unflattening is allowed to ON.
  • When set to On files that you have flattened can be unflattened by other GoodReader users making your annotations editable again. This may be useful when working on a document as a group. PDF files are flattened to help with compatibility when using other PDF readers. Restricting the ability to unflatten PDFs will prevent editing or removing annotations.
