Remote Whiteboard is the full app, Reader is the view-only app. Whiteboards can be viewed (only) at http://mysyncpad.com/ |
| Tasks or Searches Tested: |
Drawing, erasing, stylus changes, visiting URL listed on the board to view the board, clearing board, export and import of images |
| Design: |
Very minimal user interface, maximizes whiteboard space, no need to switch to another part of the app to change stylus settings |
| Functionality: |
App is stable, can view a room through SyncPad Reader or by entering the room URL into a Web browser which is listed in the bottom right corner of the board, another iPad running the full version can participate by entering the same name of the room |

Whatever is created by the users |
| Other Comments: |
It appears to be laggy when mimicking what is being drawn on the originating user. There are very limited stylus style and color options: only three pen weights and four color choices. The stylus and other options appear alongside the whiteboard without needing to go to a separate options screen. There is no notification of who is drawing on the board; there is no option to specify a name for each user. One can overwrite and obscure or erase others' markings (erase is indiscriminate). There are no zoom options. Cannot use the whiteboard without supplying a name for it and establishing a URL for the room. |
