Critical Care Fellowship

The critical care program is designed for candidates who anticipate devoting the majority of their future clinical effort to the treatment of patients admitted to intensive care units. Through cross-disciplinary experiences in the medical, surgical, burn/trauma, neuromedicine, and cardiac ICUs at  Strong Memorial Hospital and in the mixed medical-surgical ICUs at Highland Hospital and F.F. Thompson Hospital, our fellows graduate ready to care for any critically ill patient they encounter regardless of diagnosis or setting.  In addition to becoming clinically excellent intensivists, our trainees actively participate in academic projects that develop their skills as leaders who improve patient care at a systems level through educational, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
