Weekly Clinical Endocrinology Conference - Friday morning
During this city-wide conference a specific patient is presented followed by an in depth presentation and discussion of the patient's
disease process. The relevant literature is reviewed and patient management strategies discussed. A fellow / attending present
a case once per week.

Didactic Friday Conference
Over the course of 2 years, speakers from the endocrine division or other departments cover a curriculum that covers all aspects of endocrinology and metabolism.
On average, once monthly a basic topic is covered.
Care is taken to include presentations of ongoing clinical trials at the University of Rochester, and to expose
fellows to research and mentoring options. Fellows often present a specific clinical topic with a mentoring faculty member. At the end of their second year or third years, fellows will
present their research projects.

Endocrine Scientific Research Conference (monthly)
The Division of Endocrinology has diverse and exciting research programs that are displayed once a month in our Scientific Research Conference. For this series, a different research laboratory is highlighted each month, and presentations are given by faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows. Talks are geared toward a general audience that consists of all members of the Division, including students, residents, clinical fellows, clinical faculty, and research faculty. The Scientific Research Conference serves as an exciting venue to highlight the state-of-the-art research being performed within the Division of Endocrinology, and fosters cross-talk between researchers and clinicians.

Endocrinology Journal Club (monthly)
During this conference recent articles from the endocrine literature are reviewed. Particular emphasis is placed on articles
that stress mechanisms of a disease or a basic biologic process. Both clinical and basic science topics are reviewed.
Fellows are paired with a faculty advisor, who aids in article choice and is available for questions.

During this conference recent articles from the endocrine literature regarding Diabetes are reviewed.
Particular emphasis is placed on articles that stress mechanisms either of a disease or a basic biologic process.
Both clinical and basic science topics are reviewed. This journal club includes endocrinologists from URMC as well as from the sourrounding community.

Endocrine Grand Rounds
Held the second Friday of every month, Endocrine Grand Rounds features internationally recognized scientists and physicians from all over the country. This series offers the University of Rochester and the surrounding community a unique opportunity to hear about the latest cutting-edge research in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism from leaders in these fields.
