Jeffrey M. Lyness, MD directs the Laboratory of Depression and Medical Comorbidity in the Program in Geriatrics and Neuropsychiatry, and is Associate Professor of Psychiatry. The Lab’s research, supported by R01 and K24 funds from NIMH, is devoted to the study of mood disorders and medical comorbidity in later life, including descriptive, etiologic model-testing, and intervention studies. Subject populations include older patients seen in primary care settings, and those suffering from severe congestive heart failure.
