The 26th Annual Nursing Home Conference "Spanning the Continuum of Care: Innovations in Geriatric Health Practice" will be held on Friday, September 27th, from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, at Monroe Community Hospital.

 

The keynote speaker will be Dr. James Pacala, Associate Professor and Distinguished University Teaching Professor, from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis.  His presentation is entitled “Where Does Geriatrics Go From Here?”

The Long Term Care Conference will provide geriatric health professionals throughout the continuum of care with clinical and practical topics relevant to health practice with older adults.  Topics have been identified by past participants and faculty who provide health care to older adults. Some topics will represent increasing clinical concerns in the geriatric population or have important policy, cost and legal implications for health care.  The conference is for health care providers from all disciplines.  Including, physicians, physician assistants, medical directors, social workers, nurses, nurse practitioners, OT & PT, nursing home administrators and any other professionals interested in the field of geriatrics & aging.
