Major Clinical and Investigative Interests
Movement and Inherited Neurologic Disorders (MIND): the MIND unit trains fellows in the clinical and experimental evaluation of movement disorders. Fellows are also trained in surgical management and deep brain stimulation, working together with colleagues in the Department of Neurosurgery.
The MIND unit has principal interests and current programs in: Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Dystonia, restless leg syndrome, tremor/essential tremor, Tourette’s syndrome, other movement and Gait Disorders, as well as, the genetics of hereditary movement disorders and botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of movement disorders.
