MRI - Infarct, middle cerebral artery distribution: This 55-year-old woman with a history of hypertension and breast cancer presented with left-sided weakness and numbness. Examination revealed left-sided neglect and a pronator drift. The T2-weighted axial MR image shows a wedge-shaped area of increased signal intensity within the right frontoparietal lobe involving the cortical gray and subcortical white matter. The corresponding diffusion-weighted image on the right shows increased signal intensity in the same distribution. |
