MRI/MRA - Infarct, pontine: This 29-year-old man presented with unresponsiveness after a fall. Examination revealed pinpoint pupils, absent horizontal eye movements, quadriplegia and bilateral hyperreflexia. On the FLAIR-weighted axial MR image on the left there is high signal intensity within the pons. On the corresponding MRA image on the right there is no flow visualized within the distal basilar artery, indicative of thrombosis. |
