MRI/MRV - Venous sinus thrombosis: This 27-year-old man presented to the ED with a two-week history of gradually worsening right-sided headache and nausea. Neurological examination was unremarkable with the exception of a left-sided Babinski response. The FLAIR-weighted MR image on the left shows a high-signal lesion within the right temporal lobe without evidence of significant mass effect. The corresponding MR Venography image on the right shows absence of the right transverse sinus. |
