CT - Basal ganglia hemorrhage, hypertensive: This 58-year-old man with history of poorly controlled hypertension presented with headache and right-sided weakness. Examination revealed a blood pressure of 210/124 mm Hg and right-sided hemiparesis. The CT scan of the head obtained at admission shows a large collection of blood in the region of the left lentiform nucleus with mass effect and effacement of the left lateral ventricle, cortical sulci and Sylvian fissure. |
