Hypertensive cerebellar hemorrhage: Cerebellar hemorrhage accounts for about 10 percent of hypertensive hemorrhages. Here you see a massive clot of blood occupying the hemisphere on the right side of the slide, with extension into the subarachnoid space over the folia of both hemispheres. Note the distortion and displacement of fourth ventricle and vermis to the opposite side as a consequence of the blood clot and edema of the affected hemisphere. |
