Intracerebral hemorrhage from ruptured saccular aneurysm: A horizontal section with frontal lobes above and occipital lobes below. There is extensive hemorrhage in the white matter of the right frontal lobe, extending into both lateral ventricles. There is marked ventricular distention. Cause of the hemorrhage was rupture of a saccular aneurysm at the junction of anterior cerebral and anterior communicating arteries. There was also subarachnoid hemorrhage. This type of hemorrhage is usually fatal. |
