MRI - Brain stem vascular malformation: This 50-year-old woman with a history of tobacco abuse presented with bilateral facial numbness and transient diplopia. Examination revealed slight diminished facial sensation on the right and left-sided hyperreflexia. The T1-weighted axial image shows a heterogeneous appearing mass in the center of the pons that is surrounded by a high intensity rim without significant mass effect on the surrounding structures. |
