Astrocytoma, low-grade: Low-grade astrocytomas may be infiltrative over a large area, without producing a well-defined neoplastic mass. The center of the tumor in this section is probably deep within the white matter, but microscopically tumor infiltrate is present throughout most of the hemisphere on the left side of the slide.
