Astrocytoma, microscopic: Microscopically, low-grade astrocytomas as a group present varied patterns, although individually they are relatively uniform. Nuclei are slightly larger than normal astrocyte nuclei. Often they have a small amount of pink cytoplasm that gives rise to spider-like processes as in this specimen. |
