Acoustic Schwannoma, microscopic: A common feature of the histologic appearance of Schwannomas is the palisading (fence-like) pattern of tumor cells, such as seen here. In contrast to the areas of pseudopalisading encountered in glioblastomas, there is no necrosis. The nuclei are elongated, with pink cytoplasmic processes arising from both poles of the cell.
