Metastatic melanoma: Metastatic tumors to the brain may grow in any location and may have virtually any appearance. This specimen is from a case of metastatic melanoma. There are multiple metastases, varying in size, occurring both in gray matter and white matter. The dark color is due to the melanin pigment present. |
