CT - Metastasis from lung: This 61-year-old man with a past medical history of smoking presented with a seizure and left-sided weakness. Examination revealed right-sided hemiparesis and hyperreflexia and bilateral Babinski signs. The CT scans without (left panel) and with intravenous contrast enhancement (right panel) demonstrate a calcified mass in the left parieto-occipital region with a low-density center and higher density around the perimeter with surrounding edema. There is a similar lesion in the right parieto-occipital region. There is also partial effacement of the occipital horn of the left lateral ventricle. |
