CT - Neurocysticercosis: This 40-year-old Laotian immigrant presented to the emergency department with seizures. Neurological examination was unremarkable. The CT scan of the head reveals a calcified nodule within the corona radiata without significant mass effect or edema. The remainder of the CT scan (not shown) reveals three identical lesions scattered throughout the brain parenchyma. These multiple calcific lesions are highly suggestive of cysticercosis. |
