Marked compression of cerebrum due to chronic subdural hematoma: Subdural hematomas of a chronic nature produce a remarkable degree of compression of the brain such as in this slide. You will note that there is displacement of the left cingulate gyrus to the right as well as a deeply concave compression over the left frontal and parietal lobes. A coronal section would also show marked displacement of deep midline structures to the right side.
