MRI - Spinal Epidural Hematoma: This 25-year-old man with a history of lymphoma presented with bilateral lower extremity numbness two days following a lumbar puncture. Examination revealed moderate tenderness to palpation over the lumbar spinal region and decreased sensitivity to light touch throughout the lower extremities. This T2-weighted axial MR of the lower thoracic spine shows a high signal fluid collection in the extramedullary, extradural space with mass effect and distortion of the dural sac and nerve roots. |
