Hydrocephalus; external appearance of brain: At autopsy, the external appearance of the brain in marked obstructive hydrocephalus is typified in this slide. Convolutions over the entire brain are flattened. Sometimes they are broad, as in this specimen; other times convolutions are narrowed as the result of the increased pressure. |
