NATIONAL COURSES

In addition, there are a series of national courses to which the residents are sent at Departmental expense. The PGY-2 year resident attends the two-week AFIP pathology course. The PGY-3 resident attends the RUNN course at Woods Hole. The PGY-4 third-year resident attends the Chicago review course which is a ten day course covering twelve hours a day of intensive review. The chief resident attends the AANS/CNS meetings. It is also understood that any resident giving a podium presentation at a nationally recognized Neurosurgical meeting will attend the meeting at departmental expense.
