RTOG 0320:
A Study of Patients with Brain Metastases from Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer being treated with Whole Brain Radiation Therapy and Radiosurgery with or without Chemotherapy

The purpose of this study is to compare the results of three different treatments for brain metastases and overall survival. Study doctors will compare the effects (good and bad) of the standard treatment (whole brain radiation therapy and stereotactic radiosurgery), the standard treatment plus the drug, temozolomide, or the standard treatment plus the drug, erlotinib on subjects and their brain metastases to see which is the best treatment. This research is being done because we do not know which of these three treatments is best.
