Hat Day | Friday, April 1
Don your favorite cap, sombrero, or stovepipe hat and participate in the Wilmot Cancer Center’s annual Hat Day, which is taking a silly turn this year with a celebration on Friday, April 1st. With a minimum donation of $1 to the Wilmot Cancer Center, individuals can wear a hat to school or businesses who have agreed to participate.
Join the fun and get your friends, classmates and co-workers to wear their favorite or funny hat and support people who are undergoing cancer care. Make a competition out of it and raise more funds for the region’s leader in cancer care. For more information call (585) 276-4717 or email Kimberly.cenzi@rochester.edu.

Meaghan’s Run brings awareness to the increasing occurrence of nonsmoker’s lung cancer and raises funds for research into this terrible disease. Registration for the sanctioned race begins at 7:00 a.m. with the race/walk beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Lakeshore Community Church, 3651 Latta Rd., Greece. For more information, visit meaghanshope.com.
Discovery Ball | Saturday, May 21
The 2011 Discovery Ball, chaired by
Bob and Sue Kessler, will be held
on Saturday, May 21st at the
Robert B. Wegman Conference Facility,
200 Wegman's Market Street.
T he evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with
cocktails and a gourmet grazing dinner,
followed by the presentation of the

The evening wouldn't be complete without great music and dancing. This year's entertainment will be provided by international recording artists, Tower of Power. For more than 40 years, Tower of Power has been creating their own kind of soul music, wowing crowds along the way. In previous years, they have performed to sold-out crowds locally at the Rochester International Jazz Festival. A variety of sponsorship levels are available, and individual tickets are $250. For more information about the Discovery Ball, please contact Kim Cenzi at Kimberly.cenzi@rochester.edu or call (585) 276-4717.
